Sleepless nights, diaper changes, and baby laughter are about to become very familiar to us as we begin to grow our family. We are both extremely excited and nervous to become parents, but know and trust that God has brought this little one into our lives at just the right time. We are starting a blog to update our family and friends on our exciting new adventure.
Jessica is 12 weeks and 4 days along at this point, so we are out of the first trimester. Our due date is August 27, 2009. No, we do not know what the sex is yet, but we will find out, as Mark has conceded this on the first baby. (Jessica rolls her eyes) We just had our second appointment with the doctor and we heard the baby's heartbeat at 162 beats per minute and were able to see our baby for the first time....
Just to clarify, this is a profile view, with the head on the left followed by little arms, a little belly, and little legs. According to BabyCenter.com it's a little over 2 inches long and it's fingers and toes are fully formed and will start opening and closing and curling very soon.
